First International Barcode of Life Conference

220 participants from 44 countries gathered at The Natural History Museum, London, for the first International Barcode Conference, 7-9 February 2005. The conference was organized under the auspices of the Consortium for the Barcode of Life and was supported by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation and the Natural History Museum, London . The latest results of barcoding projects were presented along with plans for ambitious new initiatives.

The agenda and most speaker presentations are now available (below). In addition, the full text of the proceedings volume, published as a themed issue of the Royal Society’s Philosophical Transactions (Biological Sciences), is also available online without charge.
